Main fellowships for research scholars
- UGC NET JRF: Rs. 37,000 per month for two years, then Rs. 42,000 per month as SRF.
- CSIR NET JRF: the same rates for science scholars, through CSIR.
- Non-NET fellowship: many Central Universities pay a monthly fellowship to full-time PhD scholars who do not hold JRF; the amount and conditions are set by UGC and the university.
