Central Universities publish two kinds of results that students look for: semester and annual examination results for enrolled students, and entrance and admission results such as merit lists, selection lists, cutoffs and answer keys. This page lists both, newest first, with the official notice behind every entry.
Where to check a Central University result
- Semester results are published on the university’s examination or Samarth student portal; keep your enrolment or roll number ready.
- CUET UG, CUET PG, NCET and UGC NET results and scorecards are released by NTA on its exam websites, not by the universities.
- Merit lists and cutoffs for admission are published by each university after CUET, usually as PDF notices.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a merit list and a cutoff?
A merit list names the candidates selected or provisionally selected for a programme. A cutoff is the score or rank of the last candidate admitted in a category, which tells you how high you need to be in the next list.
What if my semester result shows an error?
Apply for rechecking or re-evaluation within the window your university announces, usually two to three weeks after the result. Those notices also appear here.
What is an answer key?
A provisional answer key lets candidates check their responses and challenge wrong answers before the result. The final key is then used to prepare the result.
