Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, has issued an important notice regarding the viva voce for admission to the PhD programme for the academic year 2026-27.
The viva voce scheduled for candidates seeking admission under the NET category has been put on hold until further notice. This pause is due to the university awaiting clarifications from UGC, CSIR, and NTA regarding the validity period of NET scores/percentiles required for PhD admissions.
However, the viva voce scheduled for candidates in the JRF and GATE categories will continue to be conducted as planned.
This decision has been taken with the approval of the competent authority to ensure compliance with updated guidelines from the regulatory bodies.
