Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), Lucknow invites applications for engagement of one Consultant (Level-1) in Sports, Physical Education and Coaching on full-time contractual basis. The engagement aims to strengthen sports administration, improve infrastructure, promote physical education, and enhance student participation in sports and university team performance at various levels.
Eligibility
The applicant should possess relevant qualifications and substantial experience in sports administration, physical education, sports coaching, sports development or allied fields. The essential qualifications are either:
- Sports Administration and Physical Education: A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (with relaxation for SC/ST/OBC non-cream layer) in Physical Education (M.P.Ed), Physical Education and Sports, Sports Science or equivalent from a recognized university, plus at least 15 years experience at supervisory level equivalent to Assistant Director or Senior Coach in sports administration, management of sports facilities, competitions, coaching camps and sports infrastructure development;
- OR a recognized one year diploma/equivalent coaching qualification from SAI/NSNIS or another recognized institution plus a Master’s degree with 55% marks (with relaxation) and proven coaching achievements including participation in National Championships recognized by Indian Olympic Association or Government of India, and 15 years experience in senior sports posts with track record of athlete/team preparation for State, National, or International competitions.
Desirable qualifications include experience in planning and implementing sports development programs, training camps, recognized national or international sporting achievements, and evidence of producing medal-winning athletes.
Preference will be given to those retired from senior government, university, autonomous body, or recognized sports institutions with extensive experience in sports administration and coaching.
Pay Scale
The consolidated monthly remuneration for the Consultant position is Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 75,000. The exact amount will be decided based on the applicant’s last substantive position, qualifications, experience, and responsibilities. Retired government or public sector employees drawing pension will have remuneration regulated as per government and university guidelines.
