Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGNTU), Amarkantak, Madhya Pradesh, has announced recruitment for 2 project-based positions under an ICSSR-PVTGs sponsored ethnographic research project titled “The Pastoral Legacy of the Todas: Arts, Culture, Education, Health and Livelihood of the Nilgiris Biosphere.” The project duration is a maximum of 5 months, subject to satisfactory performance and project requirements. Eligible candidates can apply by email by 12 November 2026.
Eligibility
Research Assistant: Post Graduate in Social Science discipline with minimum 55% marks and NET/JRF/M.Phil/PhD qualification. Relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST candidates as per Government of India norms.
Field work experience in Anthropology and with PVTGs, knowledge of the local language where data collection is to be conducted, computer proficiency, and English writing skills required.
Field Investigator: Post Graduate in any Social Science discipline with minimum 55% marks. Similar 5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

Pay Scale
