Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University (HNBGU), Srinagar (Garhwal), Uttarakhand, invites Indian citizens to apply for 2 Junior Research Fellow (JRF) posts for a MoEFCC-funded two-year project on paleoclimate and forest dynamics in the Bugyals of Garhwal Himalaya. Eligibility
Applicants must have a Master’s Degree in Geology or Applied Geology with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade. Valid GATE, NET, or any national test qualification by central government departments/agencies is required. In absence of GATE/NET qualified candidates, others with the PG degree may be considered as per funding agency rules. Qualifications must be from recognized universities or institutions. Upper age limit is 28 years as of the last date of application submission.
Pay Scale
The monthly remuneration is Rs. 37,000 plus 9% HRA.

Selection Process
Applications will be screened by a committee which may restrict candidates called for interview based on qualification and experience. The interview will be conducted in hybrid mode (offline/online), with schedule notified by email. Preference will be given to OBC/SC/ST candidates with equal qualifications.
